Praying For Snow
I usually don't hope for a snow day, but with tomorrow's supposed Nor'easter on the way, and my area likely to get a bulk of it, I'm hoping they cancel classes. I know we had a snow day just a week ago, but that was on a Wednesday, when I only have one class. On Thursdays, I have 3 classes, and am on campus for close to 8 hours, which is so tiring, even the teachers want the day off. Now, I was planning on going out anyways because I have to go back to Boston, but my trip would be a lot easier if I had a head start in the morning. Guess we won't know for a few hours, but here's hoping. And if we do have class, at least make it so it isn't that bad. I'm begging you God!

Snow Day
With 8-12 inches of snow currently falling down in my area, school was canceled, as expected. I'm always happy for a snow day because, like everyone, I always enjoy the time off. But today is one of the few times in my life when I can honestly say I didn't want one. I only had one class today, so it wouldn't have been a big deal to go, and the teacher was going to go over a very important essay that's due in a few weeks. Along with that, I was planning to go to the library and study, but now, I'm stuck at my place. That's usually a benefit, but with a computer, I'm obviously going to be distracted. Hopefully, I can just get enough time to make a study sheet and study for my test tomorrow (unless school is canceled).
Of course, the main reason I didn't want a snow day is because I'm sick of this weather. It's alright during Christmas when it's the holidays and I'm home and able to enjoy it. But when I'm at school, it's a bother, especially since I have to walk everywhere, which makes everything I do take longer. It's supposed to stop tomorrow, but if it's really that bad outside, we should just have another snow day. I don't want one, but anything is better than going outside.

Peace Out Break!
I'm going back to school for this upcoming semester later on today, which means a number things. Besides the fact I won't be able to watch any football games, that means my winter break is over. It's a pretty sad revelation, considering that my last final was barely over a month ago, but all things eventually have to end so there's progression in life. I always enjoy my breaks since it's time away from school, and an opportunity to see friends, but this break, I didn't do much of it. I enjoyed the holidays while they were here, and saw a decent number of my friends, but after New Year's, everyone got busier, so I couldn't see them. Like I've said before, I know this happens, but I'm still pretty bummed out about it. I had so many expectations and plans this break, but nothing I really wanted to do happened which stinks.
But like many things in life, you have to put anything negative behind you and move on. I wish I could have done more over break, but now that it's over, I'm hoping I do well in school in my final semester.

Gloves
After spending the whole day yesterday going back and forth out of the house to shovel snow, I'm not looking forward to going back outside, but what's done must be done. When it comes to winter storms like we're prone to having in New England, I often contemplate which is worst, the snow or the temperature? Most people would say snow without hesitation since when it falls, it piles up and makes life difficult for everyone. But to me, the temperature is the worst since it makes everything colder, and makes the snow harder and heavier. It didn't happen as much yesterday since that was only the beginning of the storm, but with more snow last night, I'm sure shoveling will be tougher today.
One thing I noticed while I was shoveling snow though, was how terrible gloves are. They offer protection, but don't seem to offer enough of it (if that makes sense). For example, my gloves are made out of some really warm fibers and have have straps, but that doesn't do any good since my fingers still get really cold. It could have to do with my fingers, but everyone knows that they get cold fastest besides your toes, so gloves should be better made for everyone. I'm sure there are ones out there that cost more, but companies shouldn't charge more for something like that. It just isn't right.
My gloves may suck, but I have snow to shovel. For those of you doing the same, be careful. It's cold out there.

First Day Of Spring
Today or yesterday is the first day of Spring, depending on how you look at it. Usually, I don't care much for Spring since I can't stand the rain, the forwarding of clocks an hour, the insects, etc, but this year, I can't wait for it, because Winter has sucked. It's given me three snow days, which has been nice, but it's caused hell for me, so all I can say is, see you next year Winter. Spring is here, and it'll be here for awhile.
